Submitting a recipe

Post  Martin on Mon Apr 21, 2008 9:59 pm

Recipe submission is now closed as the book is prepared to be printed.

You can still collect recipes, who knows, Recipe Collection Vol. 2 might be just around the corner Smile

A big Thank you! to everyone who contributed!

To submit your own recipe use the recipe submission form at

http://www.abdn.ac.uk/~r01kn6/afgform/

You can still add your recipe as a word document to the Recipe Book folder on the AFG drive.
Please make sure you include the following information in your recipe:

  • Your name and email address
  • The native/original name of the dish
  • The English name of your dish
  • Which country or region the recipe is from
  • Additional information about your recipe like historical background or traditions associated with it
  • Which category best describes your recipe (Starter/Main Course/Dessert/Sweet and Cake/Drink and Cocktail/Other)
If you selected "Other" give a term that would best describe your recipe
  • How many people the recipe serves
  • Ingredients (even for secret recipes Wink )
Please use grams, (milli)litre, table(=tbsp) and teaspoons (=tsp) for units.
Use onlineconversion.com to convert other units
  • Instructions
Please use degrees centigrade for baking instructions. Indicate which type of oven is used (e.g. fan assisted)
Conversions from gas to electric can be found here.
  • Modifications (e.g.: "Add 100g of canned fruit to the topping.")

Make sure any pictures of your dish are named as the recipe and place them in the same folder.
Please make sure you only enter recipes that are either written entirely by yourself or modified so that they don't violate any copyright!
Please indicate if you DON'T want your name shown on the final recipe as the author.
